There used to be a number of businesses in this strip mall on busy State Street Saginaw. A grocery store, a movie theater, JC Penneys. Now its just a series of empty buildings as the remaining struggle to stay afloat.

The word is the reason the businesses were closing was due to huge rent increases from new owners of the properly. It seems that apparently the owners were hoping Super Walmart would build there.
